Hi everybody,

I got some problems with my Lync 2013 client since the upgrade to Skype for Business. I am somehow missing icons and texts.

I reinstalled Lync and the according Windows Updates multiple times, but can't get this fixed.

Does anyone of you have an idea how to get the icons? I'm a little bit lost otherwise :-(+

BTW: I think it's with Win7 only.

The good news is: I managed to install the update, so it's Skype UI now.

The bad news is: Unfortunately I'm still not having any icons :-(

I deleted the profile, but it didn't help :-/

Update: I even deleted the whole windows user profile, still no luck :-(

I SOLVED IT!!

Finally :-)

In our deployment, Lync was installed seperately to Office. I uninstalled Lync, ran the setup.exe of Office Professional 2013 and added Lync as a feature. After that, I installed the SfB update, rebooted and there they are, the texts and icons are back :-)

We have this problem on all computers that we tried the S4b upgrade on. I have tested about 10 computers and all get the graphic errors with missing Icons.

Since we have Office 2010 std and using Lync 2013 Basic the fix with reinstalling from Office is not a solution for us.

I really hope there is a fix for this problem soon so that I can update my clients.

 

The update of the Lync 2013 basic is still supported. Have you really installed all needed updates?

This icon problems will appear if not all updates are installed. Have you install the office 2013 SP1 and office Languagepack SP1 before you update the lync client to the latest sfb updates?
