Skype for Business - Icons missing?!

Hi everybody,

I got some problems with my Lync 2013 client since the upgrade to Skype for Business. I am somehow missing icons and texts.

I reinstalled Lync and the according Windows Updates multiple times, but can't get this fixed.

Does anyone of you have an idea how to get the icons? I'm a little bit lost otherwise :-(+

Thanks in advance!

Sam

BTW: I think it's with Win7 only.

I also have this problem:

Plus, I can't close the UI once opened without exiting Skype completely (ea

The good news is: I managed to install the update, so it's Skype UI now.

The bad news is: Unfortunately I'm still not having any icons :-(

I deleted the profile, but it didn't help :-/

Update: I even deleted the whole windows user profile, still no luck :-(

I'm experiencing the identical issues as Sam-san91 is.

I've tried repairing Lync 2013 and then SfB, deleting Lync/SfB profiles, user profiles.

I can reproduce on another machine, but unlike Sam-san91 this is affecting all user profiles on a machine.

It's a very strange issue that has had me baffled for a week now, since we started deploying lync 2013/SfB to our test group.

It must be something with the SfB patch or they way it's being installed, Lync 2013 is fine it's only after I install the Patch that it goes haywire.

I SOLVED IT!!

Finally :-)

In our deployment, Lync was installed seperately to Office. I uninstalled Lync, ran the setup.exe of Office Professional 2013 and added Lync as a feature. After that, I installed the SfB update, rebooted and there they are, the texts and icons are back :-)

Maybe this helps you too, aburrow

Thanks for that.  I'm investigating methods of adding Lync 2013 to Office Pro 2013 installs now.

looks like it is the old lync standalone installation from Lync 2013. If I use the Office 2013 package and install only the lync client everything is fine.
