Skydrive on Windows 8 when there is not enough space on disk

I was forwarded to these forums from Skydrive forum:

I want to clarify how Skydrive agent is working on Windows 8 (8.1 at the moment). I mean the built-in Windows 8 Skydrive app. I have a few files in my Skydrive folder (1.66 GB total) which are on my home PC (Win7 Skydrive client installed) and on the skydrive server. I have Windows 8.1 on virtualbox virtual machine with 10 GB C disk and currently with 2.65 GB free. Skydrive folder was working fine yesterday, i was able to access files on it, set them as lock screen, wallpaper, user icon, etc. Today Skydrive icon in File Explorer is with red icon with cross. When i try to open some picture it says i have not enough space on disk. If i try to set a picture as wallpaper from skydrive, it shows error 0x80040C0B (http://www.part.lt/img/9e83fc896b83049329ecd494c97fd424439.jpg)

All files on Windows 8 in Skydrive folder appear as Available online-only. If i press on a file and mark it as Available offline, it shows sync icon on it, but file is never synced.

It is a virtual machine, but everything worked fine yesterday. Virtual disk is dynamic, but already reached 10 GB, so the space is allocated and Windows 8 Disk management shows, that C disk has 10 GB total and 2.65 GB available.

This has nothing to do with Windows 8 Virtualization. You could post in the VirtualBox forum if you want to know how to increase the size of your .VDI file. Actually I would start again with a reasonable disc size. It doesn't take long to install Win 8 or 8.1.

Why did you choose such a small disc size? It is certainly not the VirtualBox default for Windows 8.

As this is in the virtual machine, i thought this is the closest category and moderator on Skydrive forum pointed me to this category. It's like Windows 8 in Virtualization :) Well, i don't think i have to increase the size of my vdi. It has 2,65 GB free and this is more than enough for all my Skydrive stuff even if i would want to sync everything for offline use. Have tried to download 700 MB iso and it downloads just fine inside that machine. I picked this size, because this is enough for just a testing machine. If it would throw such errors from the beginning i would think maybe this is some incompatibility with VirtualBox, but it was working fine at first. Is there some requirement for x GB of free space for Skydrive app to function correctly even if all files are online-only? Maybe i'll just wait for VirtualBox update supporting 8.1 and check then.
