I am attempting to deconstruct a site to zone assignment list under computer configuration. The current list has hostnames, wildcard.fqdn's, and IP addresses. The questions I have are: How are bare hostnames/IPs treated? Contoso.com is listed as *.contoso.com 1 -> Which should make all hosts on contoso.com Intranet. Does that change for host.contoso.com 2? How about just host 2? Also, if the default zone setting templates are enabled in the same GPO as the sitetozoneassignmentlist - does that blank the list? Thanks, me.
