When you go under Start and click Shut Down next to the red icon there, options pop up onto your screen asking what you want your computer to do. My computer when I first had it, had the simple options of Shutting Down, Hibernating or Logging off. All with the colored icons next to it. Now, it pops up as a simple, grey scroll box, asking what you want Windows to do. Including all of the above and then some. ---Pretty simple I want the colored icons back and can't figure out how to change it. I've looked under themes and settings. Nothing. Also: When you start the computer, how do you cancel typing in a password and having it go to straight to logging on? Again, it used to do it. Thanks!1 person needs an answerI do too

I had to think about that one and test it out and then I remembered it had something to do with the Welcome Screen -To turn on the “Welcome Screen”1) Start > Control Panel > User Accounts2) Select "Change the way users log on or off"3) Check the "Welcome Screen" option4) Click "Apply Options"5) The settings will take effect when you log off.
