Sideloading app on win 8.1 tablet gives certificate error - HashMismatch

Hi, I have a windows 8.1 application which I am trying to sideload, but it gives me an error

Error: could not install the certificate. Status: HashMismatch. For more information, see http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=252740

I have googled around for a solution but couldn't find any.

The user I am logged into is the admin and also the account used for certificate is a valid one.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Amit

Hi Amit,

You can only sideload apps on Windows 8.1 Enterprise edition (or on Windows 8.1 Pro and Windows RT devices by installing a special sideloading product key on the device). And you need to get a developer license, you must have a Microsoft account

There are also additional requirements, to understand Sideloading Licensing Requirements:
