Shutdown and Bluescreen error
I am running Windows 7 64bit on a new (less than 6-month old) Gateway desktop that came with Windows 7 installed. The system shuts down for no apparent reason and goes
back to log in screen. This happens from 3-7 days apart.
I've gone on the official Windows site and have followed their suggestions. I have:
1) updated all my devices and Windows updates.
2) checked all the drives and found no errors.
My computer still is screwing up. Please help!
When I reboot, this is the message I get:

Even though your PC is only 6 months old may not indicate its original build date.
which gateway model
what bios version
during the boot up after posting, does the screen allow for running any hardware diagnosics.
memory test,
hard drive test,
cpu test.
is this a mini hybird pc box
full size mid- baby tower.
does the box get ventalation so it can breath.
Their was a short time about 2008~2009 that the motherboard bios was not provisioned for booting while an external drive was plugged in.
External also including Flash memory sticks.
This did make trouble for some of the bios settings.
You may want to try and boot to the bios,
take photos of your settings so you can put them back if needed.
Check your boot settings, you may need to reset to defaults.
Document your changes
try and only make 1 change at a time.

Thanks for your reply! I tried to upload the 5-21-2011 dump file on Skydrive, but somehow it wouldn't upload (the site says the file's being used [???]). However, I have a 5-16-2011 dump file whose contents are identical to the 5-21 one (at least,
the two messages are identical that was given to me in the reboot). Here it is the link:

Thanks for your reply. I went on the Intel site and downloaded the latest Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver (the 5-4-2010 version, which according to Intel has the "latest" status). The weird thing was when I installed it, it said my iastor.sys
file is actually NEWER than the file they were going to replace it with! So I copied the newer, malfunctioning iastor.sys file and completed the install with the older version. Is this normal? Whatever the case, hopefully, my computer wouldn't
reboot again for no reason. Thanks!
