Helping? my father with his laptop setup I was backing up his programs on an external hard drive and I accidentally shut his laptop off (very sensitive mouse pad!). After starting the laptop back up the backup will not complete. What to do? His laptop is using windows 7

Hi, I would like to suggest you launch Services.msc and restart the Windows Backup and the Volume Shadow Copy services. If it does not work, I also would like to suggest you delete the uncompleted backup files, disable antivirus program temporarily and perform a backup again in Clean Boot. Does it work?
