Show Desktop Button
Is there anyway (through registry) to move the show dektop button to the left of the start Button.? Being as all the useful command buttons and taskbar icons are grouped on the left side of the desktops real estate, it would be nice if that was there also.

As Ronnie said. Alternately, you can add the Quick Launch Toolbar by creating a new folder in the Taskbar. The QL folder contains the show desktop icon.Ramesh Srinivasan, Microsoft MVP

Just to contribute and make MS aware of this:I would also like that "show desktop" button to the left, ideally to the right side of the start button. This was one of the things that I really missed when I first saw the windows 7 desktop. To Microsoft:please, make it an option in the final product!egman

Couldn't believe it when I found it located over at the right hand side, with no way to move it.People have been using the show desktop from over the opposite corner for years now, it's not something that is easy to adopt to. Even after days of using Windows 7, I still keep aiming my mouse to the bottom left when I want the desktop. It wasn't broke, don't fix it!!
