Should I create an additional user account as I want to eventually copy/sync info in Palm Desktop to Outlook and then to Blackberry?
I now have a BB and am trying to get the contacts, etc from Palm Desktop 4.1.4 to it. I read that the preferred/easiest way to do this is to sync data from Palm to Outlook and then sync Outlook and BB. Computer I am using is borrowed from a friend. He has contacts/data/etc of his own in Outlook and logs in as Administrator. I did not want to co-mingle data. I thought creating new user on computer would be a way to accomplish this. First problem encountered was that when I created new user, the built-in Administrator account disappeared. I have, thanks to this forum, fixed that with a Doug Knox script that shows built-in Administrator at login, but would prefer not to have any of these "surprises" occur again as I attempt to transfer/sync the data/contacts/etc. So while I don't think all of what I am trying to do can be answered in this forum, I thought I would ask if creating a new user of type standard/limited would be a good idea. Depending on the answer, I then will go over to the Outlook section of this Microsoft Forum and ask if they know of any problems with process or that can be avoided. Your thoughts would be appreciated. And thank you in advance for any help you can provide. <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden" /> <input id="jsProxy" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" type="hidden" /> <input id="gwProxy" type="hidden" /> <input id="jsProxy" onclick="if(typeof(jsCall)=='function'){jsCall();}else{setTimeout('jsCall()',500);}" type="hidden" />1 person needs an answerI do too
