Should I change my Win7 beta key?
Okay, before I got and activated my MSDN membership I downloaded the public beta for Win 7 and got a key thru the regular process. Anyway now that my MSDN membership is activated when I go to the software downloads under OS/windows 7it offers me a new key number that is totallydiffrent from the one I origonally got when I downloaded the public beta 7000. Should I change my activation key to the new number or just wait till the RC comes out? I know how to go in and change the key but don't want to do it if its going to mess something up.

This has no importance. You can either use your old key if accepted, or the new.I was obliged to change this key only when I replacedthe pre-beta version with the next one. Aski MVP Desktop Experience http://dechily.org/Forum_Aski/

Well it turned out when I ran Win7 today I still hadn't activated it and it was wanting me to do it within a day so I went ahead and changed & used the newer key and then activated. Seemed to work fine and this way I'm using my MSDN key in case it will make a diffrence once RC comes out. Thanks for the response.Jess
