Shortcut problem
I have a peer to peer network with 10 PC's running windowsXP and 2 PC's running Windows 7. When I make a shortcut to a file on a WindowsXP machine in a shared folder, I can not open it on either of the Windows7 machines. When I right click and go to properties on a Win 7 machine there is nothing in the target box and it is greyed out. When I right click on the same shortcut in a XP machine it works and the path is in the target box. My Question is how can I make a shortcut in Windows XP in a shared folder and have it be able to be opened on a Windows 7 machine?

What this shortcut refers to? Office files or any applications? You need set the permissions of the shortcut, add the win 7 user in shortcut properties security. And please make a screenshot of this issue and share to me. Seven
