Short file error-Local Domain
Hi people,Need some answers as to why an administrator on a local domain cannot install any programs? Same settings(same user level & group) allow full access with XP.OS is W7 ultimate 64bit. When installed all the programs initially on the machine(not networked) everything was fine. Out IT people can remotely log in and install things ok. I cannot, even though I am a local administrator. If I log onto my old xp machine with the same access rights I can install things fine.

I recommend you start by posting some background information, e.g.- What program are you trying to install- What happens when you try- What screen messages do you see- Why don't your IT people fix the problem? They are paid for it, aren't they?

Hi, Since you have administrator privilege on the local machine, can you install some program when logging on local machine instead of logging in domain? At this stage, I suggest you login on the machine with local administrator privilege and right click the software you would like to install, and then select “Run as administrator” to install. What’s the result? If there is any error message, please capture and upload it for research. Thanks, Novak
