Sharing folders on a Windows 2003 Server
The company I am working for has purchased Windows XP home instead of Windows XP Professional so even though they have a server running Windows Server 2003, I cannot manage user accounts over a domain. They are presently using a shared folder on the server to share all data.I need to create a shared folder on the server that can only be accessed by the accounting group. How do I create an accounting group on the server and have workgroup computers assigned to the accounting group?1 person needs an answerI do too

You would create Organizational Units and link to Group Policy objects in your Active Directory. However, your XP Home machines cannot join the domain and hence domain policies will not apply. Your company needs to upgrade to XP Pro or, if the computers will support it, a better choice would be Windows 7 Professional since Windows 7 is the current Microsoft operating system.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
