Shared Documents Problem with Windows 7 Starter
I have two laptops and a netbook with the following information: OS Internet Security SoftwareComputer A(Laptop) Vista Premium Kaspersky Internet 2010Computer B(Laptop) Win 7 Premium Kaspersky Internet 2010Computer C(Network) Win 7 Starter Kaspersky Internet 2010They are connected to a Buffalo WZR2-G300N wireless router with latest firmware and set up a home network. Normally, all the computers can connect to each other and share documents either using Wired or wireless connection, EXCEPT Computer C (os Win 7 Starter). When the computer C are using different type connection with other computers, they can't share and access documents. For examples,Computer C using wireless connection,Computer A & B using wired connection. But we can see all the computers from the windows explorer. In the same conditions, Computer A & B can share and access documents to each other when they are using different type connection with other computers.Anyone know why only Computer C can't share and access documents when it is using different type connection.

Hi, Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following: 1. If you access the share folders of Computer C, will any message appear? 2. Disable Kaspersky Internet 2010 and check how it works. 3. Check if you can access the share folder of Computer C with both “XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX<IP Address>\folder” and “\\computer name\folder” to see if it works. Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT
