Several folders I am wondering if it is okay to delete?
I installed the Beta 7 build 7000 release on a machine with Vista Home Premium that I upgraded to Ultimate 32 bit just before I installed the beta. There are 3 folders that have a variety of data from before the install: $INPLACE.~TR $UPGRADE.~OS $WINDOWS.~Q Is is okay to delete them? The install was super easy, the beta runs so well I can't believe it and it is so fast that I am really impressed. Since it works so well I thought Iwould like to delete them but are the folders required for anything? I did the upgrade install, not the "clean" install. Is there a utility that allows me to browse the folders and delete selectively? I had also run the files and settigs migration on the machine prior to installing the beta. I had the beta running on another machine and thought I would migrate from this one to it. Does that make sense? Can I delete those folders? Should I? ThanksStill thirsty after all these beers

Yes, you can delete them. However, you may want to peruse $WINDOWS.~Q as that may have files from your previous installation. If there is nothing in the folders that you need, feel free to blast them.
