Setting up two different profiles on a laptop running Win 7 Pro.
I want to set up two different profiles on my laptop running Win 7 Pro. On one profile, I want to be able to connect to my domain and have a user authenticate to the the AD Server using our domain's wireless network. On the other profile, I want let a client user log on and connect to a public WiFi - not allowing them access to our company's domain. Is this possible in Win 7 Pro? Ed

Yes, that it very possible. In fact, you already have 'local' users set up on your computer. Your can either log on as the local Administrator or a Domain Admin. (The local Administrator account is disabled by default). Then, using either Control Panel or Computer Management, create a local user. To log on as this new local user, you need to click "Switch User", "Other User", and then type in the user name as pc_name\local_username. Please note that you must know the NETBIOS name of the pc (pc_name). You can find this out by typing: hostname <Enter> at the command prompt.

I omitted to mention that when you want to log on as the domain user again, you use the same procedure (Switch User/Other User), but you log on as 'domain_name\domain_username'
