Setting up a shared printer in XP Home Edition
I am trying to set up a shared printer on Computer B using Computer A's USB connected HP printer which is also MS XP Home Edition. I was able to use it in the past. I had to re-install the MS XP Home Edition on Computer B and was able to set up a network attached printer which is working. But when I tried to reinstall the shared printer it has not been successful. Everytime I try I get the login screen asking for a password which never use to do that before. Prior to reload of the MS XP Home Edition I secured the wireless network which is what Computer B uses. I can't imagine that being the problem although I could be wrong. I've tried everything I found on the internet forums and none of the recommendations took care of the problem. Any suggestions or recommendations would greatly be appreciated.1 person needs an answerI do too

Run the Network Setup Wizard (in Start > All Programs > Accessories > Communications) on Computer A. If that doesn't fix the problem, open a command prompt window (in Start > All Programs > Accessories) on Computer A and type this command: net user guest /active:yesBoulder Computer Maven Microsoft Most Valuable Professional
