Setting up a fire wall on a work group when connected to a LAN
I am employed in a big company that has a LAN with internet connected to it. In my office i have 3 PCs connected to the same work group but different from other work groups. I would like to set up a firewall on my work group to avoid external access to my files. How can i do that? or is it possible to set up a password for my work group? All my PCs are running win xp2 professional. Help me out on this.1 person needs an answerI do too

Workgroups don't provide any type of security on a network. A computer in any workgroup can access a computer in any workgroup. There are no firewalls or passwords for workgroups.I recommend that you ask the people who run the company LAN how to do what you want.
