Set default connection will not save
I setup an SSTP connection and want IE to Always dial default connection. I have setup the connection and can connect to it no problem manually When I setup IE Connection settings to always dial default connection the connection list shows up empty everytime I open the IE control panel and set the VPN as default and hit apply and close but it does not stick. When I close and reopen the IE control panel there is no longer a default. And like I said when I open IE the dial a connection dialog opens but there arent any connections available in the drop down. Win 7 SP1 Ultimate on Server 2008 R2 domain

I would suggest that you try the below method and make sure that you also click on Set default. a) Open Internet Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Network and Internet, and then clicking Internet Options. b) Click the Connections tab. c) Select Always dial my default connectionand later click on Set defaultoption d) Click Apply and OK Now restart the computer and check if the issue persists

Hi, From your description, the connection list is empty, I suggest you add VPN manually for test. Click “Add VPN” button, add your VPN connection and select “Always dial my default connection”. that the you do it. thats the way i'm doing it. I've added 4-6 entries and the connection list shows up empty when IE opens. I've saved several different connections as the 'default' but the setting resets to blank everytime you close and reopen the IE control panel.
