Set Windows Zero as default
I have a Belkin wireless USB adapter for my XP desktop. It comes with software that is buggy and difficult to use. However, if I right click on the software's icon in the notification area on the taskbar, I can select the option "Enable Windows Zero Configuration (WZC)." I can then use the normal, built-in-to-XP network manager. When I unplug and replace the adapter, though, or when I restart or start the computer, the software automatically starts and I have to set it to use Windows Zero again. Is there any way to enable Windows Zero by default?1 person got this answerI do too

HiIf you want to use WZC you have to prevent the Vendor’s software from loading otherwise the Adapter get "Confused".The best is to get rid of the software is to uninstall it. Alas, some times it uninstalls the adapter’s drivers too.If this is the case with your software, look at Windows Startup folder, you probably will an entry the starts the Vendor’s Wireless utility, get rid of it.If WZC is not functioning, maybe this can Help, http://www.ezlan.net/WZC.html Jack MVP-Networking.
