I'm running XP Home and have the following 3 files: MICROSOFT . NET FRAMEWORK 20. SP2, 3.0 SP3 and 3.5 SP1. Why do I need all three large files, and if so which can I safely kill. THANKS, DCF441 person needs an answerI do too

Hello DCF44 You need to keep all the .Net framework installations Custom applications often require a very specific version of the .NET Framework. Any version earlier - or later - and the application might not run. There are several versions and later ones do not always substitute for olderones. For that reason, it's safest to have them all (they take very little disk space). Each version of the .NET Framework can co-exist with the other versions on the computer..
