Service Pack 3 Internet can connect but cant browse
I had to reboot my computer last week as I caught a virus and caused my computer to not work properly. After this I've reinstalled my windows xp and service pack 1 and 3. However after I install service pack 3 I can connect to the internet, but after a few minutes I cannot browse any webpages. I think the problem is to do with the firewall, but I've added exceptions for "ssms" and "winamp" has it kept blocking it and it still doesn't work. I've also restarted wireless etc on service.msc; restarted the winsock; restarted scstop sharedaccess on cmd; created a new connection; disabled firewall and installed the hotfix WindowsXP-KB951830-x86-ENU and WindowsXP-KB953979-x86-ENU but my internet still cant browse. I've uninstalled service pack 3 now so I can browse now, but I want it back as I have programs that rely on it (itunes). Thanks.1 person needs an answerI do too
