Server 2008 R2 with SP1 is not processing Group Policy settings at logon
Greetings all, In our infrastructure, we are using Roaming Profiles for our users. An issue that we have come across since installing SP1 on some of our Windows Server 2008 R2 systems has us concerned. We have client systems running Windows 7 (without SP1) that RDP to the 2008 R2 SP1 server, but when the user account logs into the server (via RDP) not all of the Group Policies are processed. The one policy we are aware of that is not processing is the Folder Redirection Policy. When we use the same Win 7 client to RDP to a 2008 R2 server without SP1, we do not have this issue. After logging into the Server 2008 R2 SP1, we notice in Windows Explorer that the shortcut to My Documents has be removed and that two shortcuts that we removed (Desktop and Downloads) have re-appeared. We can reproduce this issue. Any ideas? Thank you, David

Hi David, From your description, I notice the issue is occurred on Windows Server 2008 R2 after installing SP1. Here is Windows 7 Forum, I suggest contacting Win Server Forum to ensure the issue can be addressed more accurately.
