Serious problems with Ad-hoc Connection
I have been accessing wiffi on my iphone via ad-hoc since 1 year now on my previous windows( Vista). I recently upgraded to windows 7. Again created an ad-hoc connection on windows 7 and it worked like a charm for few hours but suddenly it stopped working.......Its showing the same problem as posted by some people earlier. The network and sharing center shows an Unidentified network .... Earlier the DHCP use to assign my ipod an ip in the range of 192 ... But now its something like 169 ... When i tried to diagnose the problem it says 1.) Problem with wireless adapter or access point 2.) wireless network connection doesn't have a valid ip My wireless card is intel 3945/abg.. All my firewalls are turned off but still not use...... Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz HeLp

The issue can be caused by the wireless network adapter driver. The IP address 169.* tells us that the NIC does not obtain a valid IP address, actually the connection disconnects at that time. Please download Windows 7 compatible network adapter driver and install it. If the issue persists, please let us know if you can connect to Internet via the access point. If Internet connection is OK, there should be no issue on the access point. Important Note: Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support.
