After the reinstallation, did you install the manufacturer's drivers for your motherboard, or from the computer maker's site (if it's a Dell, HP, etc. and not a home-built)? Unless you're using a (Dell, HP, etc.) System Recovery disk, then those drivers aren't necessarily going to be included in Windows. SC Tom

I don't know why this keeps coming up, but after doing a full reinstall of my system, it says I have not installed a "Serial ATA Controller" under the "system information", the error being a PNP device was not installed. Huh? Under the device ID it is a PCI? I am pretty smart, but after installing the software for all the computer devices, I am at a loss to what THIS device is. I tried to attach a foto. Any ideas on how to "fix" this error code?
