I'm wondering if it's possible to send notifications to a user when they are added or removed from a security or distribution group. It seems like the default approval workflow for adding a user to a group does not do this.

Hi Josh,

Its simple to configure send email notification.

Steps:-

1) Create a criteria based set containing all groups.

2) Create a Notification Action workflow. Set Recepitent as "[//Delta/ExplicitMember/Added]" and email notification template.

3) Create an Request type MPR for above set and workflow and test.

It should work. Please check and confirm.

I think Ajay has it covered for adds, but you also need removes, so you need to add the remove as well

You can have 2 MPRs one for transition in and one for transition out, and trigger the notification action workflow to send the notification.
