SendTo problem - which led to some strange security issues...
I normally add programs like PhotShop etc to the SENDTO folder with XP.Evaluating Windows 7, I have run into a brick wall.Nothing seems to let me access this folder.I have opened the properties on the folder, looked at Security, at all of the permissions are ticked 'Allow'.Multiple choice question:-1) Is this part of Windows 7 broken ?2) Has it not been enabled yet - but will later ?3) Am I stupid ?I've been going nutz on this for half an hour - it is really frustrating :~(Any help/guidance much appreciated !Andrzejp.s. Sorry - forgot to mention - the 'Security Issue' is that I am no completely unable to shut the 'Start Menu Properties' box - it keeps saying... Error Applying Security An error occurred while applying security information to: C:\Users\AB\Start Menu Access is denied...but I don't think I was allowed to change anything... HELP !

Youre probably looking at the wrong SendTo folder, i.e. a junction. Try this: Click the Windows Orb (Start), type shell:sendto and press Enter. Right-click on an empty part of the window then New > Shortcut and Browse to your new location. The Chippendale Society

And now on my VAIO FE31M Laptop.

OK - will try that - thanks !HOWEVER, I now have a different problem......I can't get the 'Start Menu Properties... Security Tab' to closeEven rebooting does not help It is insisting that I am trying to change security settings - and that these cannot be changed......but I was not successful in changing any :~(There is no 'Cancel' option availableI seem to be stuck in an endless cycle :-- I try and close the window- It tells me that 'An error occurred while applying security information to... C:\Users\AB\Start Menu' - Access is denied- I say Continue or Cancel - and it loops again- Schizo !!!!Any help getting HAL to releasethe bomb-bay doors much appreciated :)

Hello Adrezj,do you mean the one located in %UserProfile%/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu?If so, have you tried reseting to "Default Settings"? Go the "Start" Icon in the Task Bar, right click on "Properties", "Start Menu" Tab, "Customize" button and then "Use Deafult Settings"Hope this helps.Best regards. W7 Beta running on an AMD Semprom 3200+ (1800Mhz) with 2 Gbs of RAM and a built-in Nvidia 6100 VGA, and mate, it runs like a charm! And now on my VAIO FE31M Laptop.
