Selecting homegroup puts Windows 7 into an endless loop
After doing a clean install of Windows 7 I was asked the usual start up questions; language, date/time,etc and then it came time for me to select a network type. The choices were Home, Work, or Public. I chose Home. Windows displayed a dialog box stating that it was connecting to the network and applying changes. It stayed in that state for hours until the only thing I was able to do was to power the pc off.Atfer rebooting I got to the same place and again, chose home. Same results. After powering off and back on I selected Public and within seconds the install was complete.I do see where Home/Homegroups is for Windows 7 groups, but I'm used to calling my home network MSHOME and it seems to me that an endless loop is not the correct response.
