Select a wireless netowrk and connect to it before windows logon
We are trying to use a new VPN Tool that will allow our users to connect to our VPN before logging onto windows... but the problem i am having is that the users are not able to connect to thier wireless networks until they are logged on. (i am talking about users that have never logged onto the machine before and have no locally cached windows profile). Is there a way to browse availible networks and connect to one from the windows logon screen? if windows doesn't allow this then maybe a third party tool does?Yeah Buddy!

that's very helpful and clearly written, but i would like to have a way of letting a new user (that has never logged on to the PC) connect to a new network before logging on. (my goal here is to allow a remote user to connect to a wireless network, fire up the VPN, and then logon to the domain) currently remote users have to logon while plugged into our network the first time they logon, so that windows can create a profile for them.Yeah Buddy!

Hi, Windows use User Authentication after it establish the wireless connection. Perhaps some third party software could achieve your purpose.William Tan TechNet Community Support
