Security messages at the bottom of the display
I have a new Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium addition running. I have noticed that when trying to access some files or downloading programs from the internet, I get an enlongated message at the bottom of the screen asking me to "Save' or 'Cancel'. When I select 'Save' I am notified that I cannot save the file. As a long-time user of XP I have never encountered this before. Is there an Internet Tool Security setting, Blocker or admin privledge that is causing this problem? Thanks

1. Forget Windows X. Windows 7 is different creature, more security bound. World has changed from 2001! 2. There should be more possibilities Open| Save (Save AS, ...)| Cancel. Default Save means saving into current user profile. 3. Are there any error messages in event log(s)? 4. Check in IE properties if the download file property is enabled. Regards Milos

After you click Save, the downloads are saved into the Downloads folder in C:\Users\[yourusername] by default. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
