Ronnie: I havethe Office Service Pack, but still get this Powerpoint 2007 critical update error. I may have to avail myself of the email support link that you suggested. I dread asking MS for service as a lowly sole-user! Adam

I am getting the error code 80070643 and the links to the KB articles are not helping. I am running Windows 7 with office 2010, so why is update trying to patch something that I have already upgraded?

I am getting the error code 80070643 and the links to the KB articles are not helping. I am running Windows 7 with office 2010, so why is update trying to patch something that I have already upgraded? I uninstalled Office 2007 and installed Office 2010, but always get this error too.
