Security Question change in SSPR

Hi,

Does anyone know what the impact is going to be on users who have registered for SSPR and certain of the security questions are changed or removed?

Regards

They are going to be very unhappy ;)

Actually, without testing it I'm not sure but I don't imagine you can remove a question that already has users with answers against it. At least I would hope not.

Hi Johan

make sure that users re-enroll their Questions and Answers either by modifying the "Password Reset AuthN Workflow" or by removing then "AuthNWFRegistered" Attribute.

Have them re-register by sending them with an e-mail with the link for the sspr registration site.  If they have the FIM SSPR client installed, just open their account in the FIM Portal - go to advanced view - Extended attributes - and remove the value from AuthN Workflow Registed.  Next time the user logs into their machine, the registration portal will open in their default browser.

Hi,

Thank you all for the response.  You all are right, if I am going to change or remove the questions, users will have to reregister. We have a lot of users registered and I don't want to inconvenience them unnecessarily.

To get by the problem I will just add a few more questions and increase the number of questions presented to widen the choice and the randomization.

Thanks again, your help and advice are always appreciated.
