Sorry for posting here, but I did not find any other forum to contact Microsoft at. What happened to Security Essentials. I was able to download it and install it last week. Now I suddenly are no longer allowed. When browsing to http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/ I get the following message: Not available in your country or region. Did Microsoft intend security essentials only to be available to USA?

It's available to me in the UK, here http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

You must add a /mkt= string, in this case, e.g. http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/mkt=en-us. Strangely enough, those links seem to change often. Thanks for info. I am in Norway and I cannot find any hits when I search Microsoft.no for Security Essentials. I find it strange that Microsoft suddenly put a lid on the international site.

I'm not sure but it appears that this support page is again only accessible for those countries where MSE is officially offered at the moment. The language/country selection you get when you click on the top right of the page implies that.
