Security Essentials Real Time Protection Failure
Event Monitor reports Security Essentials real time protection failure
for roughly 8 of every 10 system start ups.
Does anyone know What the error is and how to stop it?

I could go on a rant regarding token attempts to safeguard
the Windows Operating System that would make Dennis Miller
proud. Fortunately for forum members, that's not what should
be posted here.

Yes, updated every day. One of the reasons that Win Defender could not be trusted was because it was easily disabled.

I have decided not to pursue this problem any further.
A few possibly related posts that I've found, made reference to user rights.
I'm certain that many people have worked hard creating Security Essentials
and I most certainly could not create such software. However, I think the
program should be viewed as a work in progress.
Thankyou for trying to help.

Disable the real-time protection for Windows Defender. (turn it off).
You have two real-time protection agents conflicting.
Defender is not needed when you have another security program installed.
MSE is not a work in progress. It has been tested by third parties and passed. Generally, all security applications are a "work in progress" trying to keep up with the malware writers. Sheesh, check out Stuxnet.
