Security Center will not open on XP computer.
Security Center will not open - Windows XP Pro, IE8, Fully patched. Wscui.cpl will not run. I get no errors, either onscreen or in the log. I ran sfc /scannow. I extracted a new copy of wscui.cpl. I scanned the registry for Wscui.cpl and only found 1 reference at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\microsoft\windows\CurrentVersion\ControlPanel\ExtendedProperties\{305CA226-D286-B848-2B2E8E697B74}2. The key is %SystemRoot%\system32\wscui.cpl REG_DWORD 0xffffffff (4294967295. In SERVICES Security Center is Running. 1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi,· Since when are you facing this issue?· Do you remember making any changes to the system?· Do you have any other third party security software installed on the system? I would suggest you to stop the service and then start it and check whether the issue persists. Follow the steps mentioned below to stop the service and then start it again on the system.a.
