After forgetting to re-enable my Comodo firewall for at least a week, I noticed that the security center did not notify me. I want it to notify me with the icon in the taskbar, it never appears. Security center is enabled, the application window displays the proper status of my firewall, and the options to notify are selected but it fails to show the icon. I uninstalled Comodo firewall and Avast antivirus and flushed the WMI repository, still no icon. Also, If boot to safe mode and then back to normal mode, the desktop appearance style changes to Windows Classic. Never had these problems before. I have Win XP Media Center and in addition have Malwarebyte's Anti-malware and SUPERAntispyware installed.1 person got this answerI do too
