Security Center and Windows Firewall won't open---Application not found
When I right click on My Computer and then Properties, I get an error message of "Application not Found c:/windows\system32\rundl32.exe In the control panel, when I click on the Security center and windows firewall, I get the same thing. In the past when I click the above, the properties came up with several tabs and the info about my computer and the firewall came up showing whether it was on or off. I recently downloaded the Norton Security Suite thru Comcast. I'm not sure if this happened before or after that. Also, I had something like "Active XP something" popping up saying I had someone trying to hack my computer and that I may have a virus and to run a scan now which I did. It came up saying that a list of things were found and brought up a page where I could purchase protection for $59.99 per year. I did not do that and I closed that out to run a scan with the Norton. It showed that it had blocked a trojan and had several blocks of attempts to access my computer. Can someone please tell me what to do? I'm not very computer savvy, so simple and plain English please. Thanks!
