Second screen goes Dark
Hi guys,I'm using Win7 with Dual Monitors (Extended Mode). This is not really a problem, but when I press WIN+L to lock the workstation, the second monitor does not display the logon screen. It is just goes dark. The second screen doesn't goin standby since I can still see the mouse on the second screen when it is black. Is there any way to make thelocked workstation screenappear on both montiors when locking the workstation? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Is your dual monitor setting Extend these displays? If so, this behavior is by design. We cannot change it.Arthur Xie - MSFT

I agree with Arthur Xie. If you're in "extanded" mode this means that the image is NOT duplicated. Think of it this way, in extended mode its like your monitor got bigger so you can drag stuff to it and so on, but that DOES NOT mean it has the same screen as the first (they are 2 COMPLETLY different). If you want the log on screen to show up on both then make it a duplicate rather than an extension.

Hi all, although i Agree with the statements above, if i Extend the dual screen background i have two fit fully on both monitors, then lock the system using Win+L, the 2nd screen goes black and moves the dual screen background to the single screen. This, i agree is purely an Asthetic issue, and was a working Function in XP. this was a function i liked, and now it has been removed. please advise further. thanks in advance. monitors are both 20" Flat Panel monitors and both have same resolution of 1680x1050 @ 60htz desktop background is 3360x1050 Heidbanger
