Search files custom attributes
Hi guys, users ask how could they search files on a file server by thier custom attributes. Is it possible? And for not creating similar topic: is it possible in Windows XP?

Hi, Would you please let me know what operating system is on the file server? If the uses want to search by attributes? If so, they could use dir command. Example: Cd <path to your file server> Dir /a:h D Directories R Read-only files H Hidden files A Files ready for archiving S System files I Not content indexed files L Reparse Points - Prefix meaning not Or add Attributes column in Windows Explorer. Right click Name column and choose More, find Attributes options. Hi Niki, I have Windows 2008 on filesserver. I need to search attributes like Department or Recieved from in file properies. I'm really sorry for not being more specific 'cause I use non english Windows version. But I hope you'll get the idea.
