Search Results to CD or DVD while preserving directories and meta data
I am not sure this is possible without adding the files individually. What I need to do is search for files containing a specific word, and then take those results and put them on a disc. It would be quite simple is all files had unique file names, but I have many files with duplicate names. Some are actual duplicate files, and some just happen to have the same file name. This prevents me from loading all the results onto a CD or DVD, and forces me to preserve the directory structure. I must be using the wrong search terms in Google because I have found no information on how to get files from a search onto a disc. I find it hard to believe there is no tool out there to make this easier than going through the search results and manually adding each file and its directory structure to a disc image before burning. Thanks in advance for any input and help."Since baseball time is measured only in outs, all you have to do is succeed utterly; keep hitting, keep the rally alive, and you have defeated time. Hi, As I understand, you want to put the search results as well as the directories and meta data to the disc for burning. Do I misunderstand? If I misunderstand, please feel free to let me know. Maybe you could press Ctrl + A to select all the Search Results, right click one of the selected files, point to Send to, and then click your disc burner drive. If it prompts Copy File window telling “There is already a file with the same name in this location”, please select “Copy, but keep both files” and check the box “Do this for all conflicts”. Via this method, windows will automatically rename the duplicated files by adding a number suffix. For example, the test.txt will be renamed to test(2).txt.
