Scroll bar malfunctioning:
My scroll bar jiggles up and down on most pages both on and off line. The page is unreadable and I can't click on anything. I can't even sign in to my ISP. The signin page jiggles and won't retain a specific username. I purchased a PC Repair program and fixed as much as I could, drivers and everything. I scan disked and defragged. I have Win XP Home on desk top wih Athelon processor. I don't know what else to do. I wasn't provided with a Recovery CD. I have an older Gateway desktop with Win 98 and it has the same problem. The two are connected through a DSL modem. One USB and the other Ethernet. Otherwise it was working fine. Please help. Thanks , Taylor1 person needs an answerI do too

Hello consciousness,1. Do you have a wired or a wireless mouse?Method 1:Disconnect the mouse connected to your computer and check if you still have the issue with scrolling. If works fine with the mouse disconnected, try to reinstall the drivers for the mouse.a. Click on Start and type ‘Device Manager’.b. Click Device Manager.c. Click + sign next to Mouse and keyboard.d. Right-click on mouse entry and choose "uninstall".e. Restart your computer.Method 2:Also check the scrolling setting for mouse. a. Go to Start button, Control panel, then select Mouse.b. Click on the Scrolling Tab. There are options there to select for faster and slower for both horizontal and vertical scroll. Thanks,Irfan H, Microsoft Answers Support Engineer.
