Screensaver locks up pc
I've got Win7 RC on a fresh install and I've slowly started turning more and more things on. If I do a preview with any screensaver the pc comes out of it fine but, if I leave the screensaver set and come back a few hours later the CPU is pegged at 100%. I've tried waiting for many minutes for the task manger to come up but, it never does and I have to reboot. PC is still responding(sort of) because my G15 keyboard is able to switch on screen apps and update cpu and memory. Everything is fine after reboot. I've tried different combinations of sleep and hibernation. I've verified no viruses / spyware. Running all updates and latest drivers. Gonna try some different video drivers to see if that helps but, who knows if it will. Just putting it out there incase others are having the same issue. AMD AM2 64 3800+, Nvidia 8500, 2 gig DDR2-800 (matched and MB recommended), ASUS M2N MB.

My wife's laptop is doing the same thing. It's not necessarily a stock screen saver, it's just pictures that are in the My Pictures folder.

For me it's all of the default screen savers. I've just got some updated drivers for my video card and will be updating to see if the issue is still occurring.

I am having the same problem as Junkmaster75. It is all of the default screensavers. Sometimes I can "wake up" the computer by hitting "control alt delete", but if that doesn't work I have to reboot. This has started within the past 2 months. Any ideas of how to correct this?
