Screen Resolution Problem
So im currently running Windows 7 64 bit with a Nvidia 9500 graphics card. I installed an update for my graphics card and it failed. It changed the resolution, and when i tried to change it back it turned the screen black and didnt revert. Now whenever i start my computer, even when in safe mode and when I tried plugging my screen into the media accelerator attached to the mobo, my screen says D-sub Out of Range 74.9kHz/60Hz How can i get my screen res back to normal?

Hi, I suggest performing System Restore first. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows7/products/features/system-restore If it still does not work, try reinstalling the graphics card as below: 1. Click the Start button and type DEVMGMT.MSC and press Enter. 2. Find out your graphics card, right click on it and choose Uninstall. 3. Also check the uninstall driver software box if it is available. After that, restart the computer and install driver from the manufacturer's website. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. If you have an LCD monitor, be sure that the display frequency settings are at 59~60hz. In the BIOS (press F2 or Delete after POST before Windows Starts) and set the display for PCI-e. Save and exit, reboot and press F8 and select Safe mode. You should be able to do this in safe mode: Right-click the desktop and select nVidia control panel In there select the correct native resolution and 59~60hz frequency. Close out and reboot normally. OK? P.S. You should be using 260.99 WHQL from nVidia: http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-260.99-whql-driver.html
