Scheduled Task does not play if WMP already open, trying to avoid manual close
I am in a work center that will need to make announcements every day over a speaker system that is ran by windows media player. I have set up a scheduled task for all files that will play, but once the said file is played WMP does not close automatically. This wouldn't seem like a problem, but if nobody closes out WMP than the next scheduled task won't play - which completely defeats the purpose of automating the process and our workers will still have to remember to close out WMP 3 or 4 times a day, otherwise nobody gets the announcement.I have tried setting up a command line with start wmplayer /play /close c:myfile.wav as an executable and run it with the task scheduler instead of the wav file..... it did not work. Come to find out, the /close function has been discontinued with WMP.Is there a way I can continue using WMP and completely automate this process without the manual act of closing WMP after every scheduled task?
