Scheduled Check Points Not Working
In Vista I would see that Windows created a scheduled check point in the system restore list approximately once a day. This is not occurring on my system under Windows 7 RC. Windows does not seem to be creating ANY system restore points - I DO have it turned on. The only choices I have are a couple created by RegCure [ a registry cleaner program] and one I just created manually as a test. So, it does work, but not automatically.Any ideas?I installed the RC OVER my previous Vista Ultimate 32-bit OS. For the most part, operating beautifully.

richfed - Have you done any Windows Updates as yet? It should create one right after it finishes downloading patches and right before installing them.

Yes, software installations create restore points, as well. I should have mentioned that. It is just the Vista-type scheduled check point that seems dysfunctional ... or maybe gone from Windows 7.

richfed - Ok.. I see what you're talking about.. I only see a few points on my system - mostly those done prior to an installation of a patch... They might have indeed changed the behavior of the system restore feature.
