Hi,Here is the scenario. I'm on a high speed internet connection (via satelite) that allows me to download 200MB a day. However between 12am and 5am i can download as much data as i want.How do i tell Windows update that it can ONLY download data (not install) between 12am and 5am? It is not about the install, its about the downloading.I have several laptops on the network and i have to schedule each and one to download between 12am and 5am. 2 have windows Xp home premium, and 2 have Vista home premium.Please advise,Martha and Georg1 person needs an answerI do too

I dont believe there is any automatic setting in MSUpdate to schedual an update check between specific times.There may be an option on your router to allow a connection to a specific address only between certain times. Also certain Internet security apps may have such an option on their Firewall or any included 'child protection' settings
