Schedule a Backup at Shutdown or Logoff
Win 7 X64 How I can schedule a backup to occur when the user shuts down or logs off the computer? Will 'On disconnect from user session' work for this? Thanks, Fred

You could create a GPO with a custom logoff script that runs a backup script or application. But unless you realy need this for some special reason, i wouldn't recommend adding a backup script during logoff as ti could take a long time, which is rather annoying for a user. What exactly is it you consider to backup ?

This is for a stand-alone PC with a USB hard drive. I'm considering using Ghost or Acronis to do an incremental backup when they shut down. It's for a user who wouldn't want to learn the full program, or do it manually. They don't leave their computer on all the time, so I can't set it up for a timed schedule. The increments will probably be small, so they won't take much time. Anyway, they could just shut down and walk away. Fred
