Sceen does not turn on after hybernate.
Well My RC edition works great, but I have this issue with the monitor that does not turn on after hybernation. The computer turns on, but the screen remains black. But! If I hit the powerbutton, and it goes in standbymode, and hit it again the computer comes out of standby as normal. This is a little weird:)What can I do?

Hi, How do you wake the computer from Hibernate? If the computer is Hibernated, you need to resume it by pressing the power button. Additionally, there is no Standby function in Windows 7 RC. Could you describe the status after you hit the power button? In general situation, when you hit the power button to resume it from Hibernate, Log on screen will be present just like you restart the system or put it in Sleep Mode.Arthur Xie - MSFT

He says if it's hibernating and he hits the power button the user name and picture does not appear. So he hits it again and that puts it to sleep and then hits it again to wake it from sleep and after that he gets the user name and picture.

Your not the only one. Seriously, it could be an obsolete graphics or monitor driver.

In most situations this kind of issue is caused by the video driver. In some other cases, if the motherboard cannot supply power for the video adapter, the screen would not work either. You may upgrade video driver and check if there is any monitor driver available as Mr. Seven's suggestion. Otherwise, please try to upgrade the BIOS. If the issue reoccurs after you upgrade drivers and BIOS, I am afraid that your hardware is not compatible with Windows 7 RC.Arthur Xie - MSFT
