Scanner won't work
I have a Savin 2522. It faxes, copies and scans black and white. I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 and the tech at Savin is saying my scanner is not compatible with Windows 7. It was set up to scan into a file as a PDF on my desktop. Is there a way to make these two work togther?

If Savin does not publish the Windows 7 software drivers and utilities then there is no way to get full functionality. Microsoft does not write the drivers and utilitiy software for third party hardware. All drivers listed in the Windows Update Catalog have been supplied by Savin and as you can see they were published in 2006: http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=savin%202522%20windows%207 Normally these drivers have minmal functionality; they are not full featured drivers. Your issue is strictly with Savin, not with Microsoft and Windows 7. Hi, Thanks for the post! Since this scanner is not compatible with Windows 7, there’s a workaround for you. Which version of Windows 7 are you running? If it’s Professional, Ultimate or Enterprise. There’s a new feature called Windows XP Mode can help you easily use the scanner in virtual machine. You can refer to Windows XP Mode. And, you will have to do all your work in the XP Mode VM because there are no Win 7 drivers to facilitate using the device in the networked mode. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
